Hello! My name is Michelle.

And you are visiting Frugal and Free. The purpose of this site is to spread the Good News of being Frugal and getting things Free.

For years, I have been getting dishwasher soap, shampoo, deodorants, toothpaste, toilet paper and many other items for mere pennies, sometimes only tax on the dollar.

  • It’s simply a matter of collecting as many coupons for the items you use as you possibly can!
  • Then, getting them organized to your liking.
  • Next step, pay attention to the grocery ads and things on sale. Matching up coupons with sales = many items free or nearly free. You don’t have to be at the mercy of the stores. Buy a lot when on sale–enough to last until it goes on sale again.

See how this works?

I am sure you’ve heard the expression Give someone a fish and you’ve given them dinner. Teach them to fish and you’ve fed them for life!”   Well, that is very much how I feel about my life of frugality, couponing and the knowledge I have gained over the years.  Donating the things I get from couponing, sale finds, etc is wonderful!   But, it’s so much better to teach someone how to do this lifestyle for themselves and then, sister, get out of the way and watch them work! It’s such a wonderful feeling. Then, that person shows someone else and then…well, you get the picture!

At Frugal and Free,  you will learn how to put together these shopping trips, where to locate coupons, share with other couponers and hopefully a whole lot more.

My goal is to make a cyberspace where you can be all that you were meant to be—making a fine living for your family on a fraction of the cost most people pay, donating to the needy in your own area and providing knowledge of couponing and saving money to those who seek it.

And, another form of frugality is making the most of what you have.  Finding cheaper ways of doing things. Cheaper does not mean a lack of quality. You can make ANYTHING at home to save getting BLINDSIDED at the store.

I am now just getting back into the “swing” of things after putting F&F on hold for awhile. I felt it was a valuable and meaningful website back then and even more so now as our economy looks more and more bleak every day. The price of gasoline is obsene and milk is almost as bad. We can’t change that a whole lot, but everything else we spend money on, we have a choice to pay full price or combine sales, coupons and mental energy in getting things very inexpensively or nearly free. I will warn you—this lifestyle can be habit forming!

I am also incorporating recipes, photos of my favorite recipe creations…I love the chance to utilize my photography again. I hope you enjoy. If you have any questions, suggestions, etc..please share with me. I am just an email away… michelle AT FrugalandFree DOT com (Sorry, those nasty spambots try to grab my email address  *s*)
