Say what?
Okay, it’s all the crumbs and sugar at the bottom of the Mini Wheats box. It all started when I asked my DH to save the bags from the cereal boxes. I wash them, flatten them out and use for rolling up cookie dough, etc. The more cereal bags I save, the less zipper bags I have to buy. All these little actions SAVE money. They really do. It is sort of like taking baby steps, making small changes that end up having BIG effects, ie losing weight, etc. That’s a whole other story, and I will not go there right now.
Okay, back to the cereal leftovers…I pour all the “leftovers” in the box into one zipper bag and had planned to use for some baking endeavor–then I saw a cookie recipe on the box of the Kroger brand mini wheats cereal. Perfect. I remember an old adage from my Mom: “Waste not, want not.” Pretty profound.
I will make these cookies and get back with you on how they turned out. Cross your fingers for me, k?
Thanks…
Until next time…
Michelle
